Day two in Austria brought new and exciting adventures for the Lexettes! In the morning, we had another productive unofficial practice. Since we worked mainly on the short program yesterday, we focused a lot on the long today. The team leader, Lois Long, gave us valuable feedback throughout the practice so that we could continue improving. Two hours later (one run-through and many, many sections), we got off the ice feeling ready to “light up the world”! After practice, we took a trip to Mondsee to see St. Michael’s church – the church where Maria and Georg von Trap got married in the Sound of Music. The architecture, stained glass, and paintings were absolutely breathtaking. When we arrived back at Salzburg, we had a few hours to relax, visit Mozart’s birthplace, and go shopping. At around 7:00pm, two representatives from our team went to the short program draw and drew eighth! We are beyond thrilled to show the world our short program tomorrow!
Gute Nacht, and LEX DO IT!
