Next, for lunch, we went to a chic French restaurant with delicious food. We also walked to a pastry shop in town where our entire team bought delicious macaroons. We all ate with huge smiles on our faces as we walked back to the hotel to nap, do some homework, and get ready for the team parade!
Finally, 6 o’clock came around and we walked to the square where all the teams were assembled to start the parade. Everyone on Team USA was dressed in the official Team USA warm ups, we had flags in our buns and our hands, proudly waving them as we danced through the streets. There were lines of people and parents cheering us on shouting, “Go Team USA!”. It was such a great and memorable experience.
While we were eating dinner, our team captain and our coaches were all at the draw. We were anxiously awaiting where our team would land for the short program. When they walked into the restaurant with smiles on their faces we knew they had big news. When they told us we drew first we all became even more excited to compete tomorrow! We can’t wait and we’re ready to kill it while represent the USA!
Bon chance to all the teams competing tomorrow! Plus a shoutout to our very own USA Teammates, Haydenettes and Ice Kateers!! We’ll be cheering you on!
