Get It Called is now accepting applications for internships for the 2015-2016 season.
Interns with Get It Called will have the opportunity to represent the leading news source dedicated to covering synchronized skating news.
Over the past five years, Get It Called has grown into a nationally and internationally recognized organization known for its dedication to reporting on synchro news and advocating for its entry into the Winter Olympics.
Get It Called prides itself on covering every major U.S. regional and national competition, as well as several smaller events. It also covers international competitions, including both the ISU Junior World Synchronized Skating Championships and the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships.
Get It Called is looking for interns who are passionate about synchronized skating and have a vested interest in helping promote the sport. We will hire interns who are willing to work hard and who offer skills that will help Get It Called expand its coverage. Among other things, we are looking for interns who have the ability write, photograph, strategize, shoot and edit video, and are equipped to use various social media tools. We will consider general applicants, but we are specifically hiring for the following positions:
Reporting Internship: Provide live score updates and photographs from each team in every division at local, regional, national, and international competitions. (Midwestern, Pacific Coast, and international applicants preferred).
Podcast/Webisode Internship: Pitch and produce a monthly synchronized skating podcast or webisode with a unique angle and original content.
The internship is unpaid. Students in college who are applying for the internship must send all relevant details from their respective schools regarding credit transfer. Get It Called directors are willing to write recommendation letters and work with universities on ensuring students receive credit for the internship.
High school students and international students are also encouraged to apply.
