In the two years that Get It Called has been operating, the site has garnered thousands of followers on Facebook and Twitter, and has been utilized by skaters across the world. We understand that GIC would never have been able to come this far if it wasn’t for our loyal audience.
When GIC first launched back in 2010, we wanted to establish a network where U.S. synchronized skaters, coaches, and administrators could connect with one another and discuss anything from competition results to ISU rule changes. Now, on our 2-year anniversary, we can confidently say that GIC has exceeded our wildest expectations.
We are honored to manage a site that we think will engage young synchronized skaters and create an enthusiasm for the sport for years to come. We hope that GIC will help provide a platform for the synchronized skating community to continue to grow and prosper.
GIC is your site as much as it is ours. This year, we will continue to cover competitions as we have in the past, but we plan to incorporate as much user-generated content as possible. We want you to be our eyes and ears at competitions, and we encourage you to submit photos, videos, and short blog posts whenever possible. We want to continue running GIC for years to come, but we need your help to keep it going. If you want to see the site continue to grow, please consider donating today.
The site has succeeded in many ways, but we are always looking for ways to improve. If you or anyone in your community has suggestions, please feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
