The past couple days have left Boston covered in 2+ feet of snow… but we left just in the knick of time to land in a rainy Paris! Originally scheduled to depart Tuesday evening, we decided to move our flight up a day and take off from Logan on Monday night! With a few
explanatory emails to professors and employers, we quickly packed, painted skates, bought travel size shampoo, and were off to Atlanta. It was a little bit longer journey (with some Southern hospitality thrown in), but we safely arrived in Rouen around 4 p.m. We walked
around and attempted to stay awake long enough to acclimate ourselves to the time change, then slept a nice 10 hours in preparation for practices the next morning.
Today we found ourselves at the rink for our first set of practices. It was great to be back. This is one of our favorite international competitions, and 18 of us have been here before. We can’t wait to see the place packed with fans from around the World (and of course, those adorable French school children). More to come!
