The competition was amazing! For some of us, it was our first international competition ever. Earning 2nd place overseas and breaking 100 points was a big ICE’Kaccomplishment!
Team USA left with the gold and silver. Hearing our national anthem play was definitely surreal. It brought tears to many of our eyes and was a precious moment for us to keep forever. We’re so happy to have met many other skaters from other teams!
Learning Scottish dances at the competitors party was very entertaining. Quite an experience, actually! Spinning around while trying to figure out the routine gave our coach a good laugh. We even got her to join us in the Macarena!
We ended our trip with 24 hours in London! Since a picture is worth a thousand words, we thought we’d share some with you instead!
We finished our time here by walking to a cafe in the middle of Hyde Park for breakfast. Then, we relived our childhood in a playground across the street from the Peter Pan statue. To complete the London experience, we rode the Tube (the subway) to the airport where we’re currently waiting for our flight. All the memories we’ve made here as a team have made the long hours of practice even sweeter. Thank you for supporting us and joining us on our journey!
