Katie Fiore is a 15 year old Sophomore in high school and a first year Get It Called intern. She began skating at age 4 and synchro when she was 11 and is currently a member of the Starlights Synchronized Skating Junior team. Katie’s favorite memory from Synchronized Skating was last season when her Novice team placed third at Midwestern Sectionals and when the Junior team performed their long program at Nationals.
Though skating is obviously a large factor in Synchro, Katie appreciates the life skills, memories, and friends that are gained through Synchronized Skating. She has had many amazing experiences through skating, but she especially loves travelling to different skating camps over the summer to further her knowledge of the sport and to meet new friends! Katie is a Social Media advocate and is determined to use these skills to promote Synchronized Skating; especially with #whynotsynchro2018!
Katie loves that she is apart of Synchronized Skating, especially because it is growing more rapidly now than ever and is excited to see what the future holds for the sport. In the future, Katie plans to continue Synchronized Skating through college, and then wants to have a job in sports-marketing for skating while being a Synchro coach as well.
