Day 3 in Rouen went by very quickly! We woke up around 7 to quickly grab breakfast and then we headed over to the rink to start our practices for the day. We got on the ice for our first session where we worked on the long program. We worked on the short mostly during the second session, with our Team USA teammates, the Haydenettes cheering us on as we practiced; there were even cameras recording us as we skated! It was great to do full run-throughs of the programs on the competition ice, they felt solid and powerful!
Our coach, Josh, and our captain, Meera, did an interview today that aired on TV here in Rouen. It is really awesome to see how into the competition the town is, and how excited all the spectators and the athletes are to see the skating that is to come.
Our practices went really well today. Our coaches and team leaders were very pleased with our progress and said we looked strong. The compliments we received made and continue to make us even more excited to compete as we get closer to the day of the short.
Tomorrow we have the French Cup parade and draw. We are so excited for both of the events and cannot wait to share these experiences with everyone!
á plus tard!
