History: The Ohio State University Synchronized Skating Team was founded in 2008 to develop a complete and competitive synchronized skating program that provides the experience of collegiate athletics while expanding upon the skills of leadership, sorority, and community. Every team member is afforded the opportunity to represent The Ohio State University through a commitment to athletic and personal excellence. The team is coached by Mēgan Elasky McKinley and Andrea Giovanello. The pair promotes a professional, competitive, and goal-oriented attitude towards the budding program. In the team’s three years, it has won two medals at the Mid-America Synchronized Skating Championships and is proving to be a successful underdog. The team has competed at the USFS Dr. Porter and Mid-America Championships competitions as well as the Miami ISI competition. The team has exhibited at Blue Jackets games, OSU Men’s Hockey games, and various ice shows around Columbus. In the 2010-11 season, the team made its debut at the Midwestern Sectional competition in Rochester, MN.
