History: Since 2005, The Madison Energy Synchronized Skating Team has been having an incredible time skating, having fun and making lasting memories, as well as enjoying many successful seasons performing in competitions throughout the state, as well as the Midwestern and Pacific Coast Sectional Skating Championships. In 2008, Madison Energy captured the gold medal at the Badger State Games. Our team skates in memory of teammate Lacey J. Meinel, age 14, who was tragically killed by a drunken driver on her way home from the Foot of the Lake Synchronized Skating Competition on January 11, 2009. Last year, we dedicated our program to her, skating to “You Are Not Alone” by Michael Jackson; and we continue to wear purple and gold ribbons in her honor.
