It has been a great year for Miami Skating. Our goal when we set out for our programs was to be mentally, physically and emotionally exhausted by the end of the run through. When this happens we will know that we have done our job and left everything out on the ice. Ending the competition in 8th place and being able to bump up two spots from the short program has been the icing on top of a great week.
So many memories will stay with me from this past season. Our year has been incredible; we got to compete in the 2013 Leon Lurje Trophy in Göteborg, Sweden finishing in 3rd place. Competing at the World Championships was all I could have asked for! I will always remember this trip and all the memories of this amazing season in the years to come. I do not believe that it is possible to ever forget skating on the ice with so many seats filled and USA flags up in the air. I am certain that I will remember how I felt after our two great skates. I will not necessarily remember the 8th place finish but the incredible memories made in this past week. I am so grateful to be afforded such exciting opportunities that not many skaters get to experience.
Love and Honor,
