Meghan Crocker is from Lexington, Massachusetts where she began her figure skating career at Hayden Recreational Ice Rink. She first skated on The Storm, a preliminary team from the Haverhill-Salem FSC and after two years moved on to skate for Hayden synchronized skating teams. Starting her Hayden synchro career on Ice Cubes, she worked her way up to the Ice Mates, Lexettes, and eventually the Haydenettes. Meghan was a member of the Haydenettes from 2010-2012, in those years she received two synchronized skating world bronze medals and two gold medals at the United State Synchronized Skating Championships. Meghan was a member of Team USA from 2009-2012 and ended her synchronized skating career at the 2012 ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden where her team earned the bronze medal.
Meghan is a gold medalist in Moves in the Field and Ice Dance. She continues to skate in College Park, Maryland where she attends the University of Maryland as a business management major. In the fall of 2012, she interned for the Maryland Athletic department as a sales assistant and works for Georgetown Cupcakes as a front counter associate.
Kelsey Helwig began her skating career when she was only six years old. She quickly moved up in levels and began working with a private coach. She has passed through juvenile freeskate, intermediate moves in the field and preliminary dance. Kelsey was a member of Farmington Hills Ice Arena’s ISI synchronized skating team, Team Fantasia from 2004-2006. With Team Fantasia Kelsey went to ISI Worlds in Chicago, IL in 2006.
Early in her skating career Kelsey discovered that performing was not only her favorite part of skating, but also where she excelled. Kelsey competed with Team Fantasia and also competed in many individual competitions including freestyle and artistic programs and on an ISI Team Compulsory.
In high school she joined her school’s figure skating team, United Farmington, from 2006-2008 and competed in the state championships. Kelsey received her varsity letter for figure skating.
Kelsey is currently a junior studying Public Relations and Event Management at Central Michigan University. She is studying how to utilize social media, how to plan and execute events and how to promote companies and organizations. Kelsey expects to graduate in May 2014 and work in event planning.
